About Us Welcome to Jag007! I hope you have enjoyed this site and have gained interest in my wine racks. I pride myself in good business practices including excellent customer service and building great business partnerships. I started this company as a result of years spent in manufacturing industries and not having my creative hunger being fed. I needed something to bring out my artistic style, yet still use my business credentials to be a successful business. I also have enjoyed being involved in the wine community over the past few years. The wine industry is blossoming in many regions of the U.S. The enthusiasm for wine is still spreading among all ages and lifestyles. After visiting Napa Valley for the first time with my three best friends, I got the passion for tasting, collecting, pouring and entertaining with the red grape. We had the best time together enjoying the scenery, locals, food, wine and most of all each other. I also enjoyed picking out my prized 16 bottles, which I had to somehow get home with me. I strategically placed 9 bottles in my suitcases and 7 bottles in my carry on luggage. Not a single bottle broke. At that time I realized this was a small piece of my calling. As I was looking for a wine rack in stores and on the Internet, I didn’t find quite what I was looking for. My collection had grown to approximately 50 bottles very quickly. The wine racks I was finding were designed to hold between 5-10 bottles. I also found much opportunity to build a small wine cellar. Without having the need, space or finances to support a wine cellar, I kept the search going. I was browsing in this great antique shop one day and came across this interesting rustic piece. The story behind this rack is that it was created over in Europe in the early 1900’s to store champagne bottles. It was like nothing I had ever seen before, but I found it to be really neat. After going back to the shop several times to see it, I realized that the shape was not practical for a modern home. I liked the idea so much that I decided to make my own version and turn it into a piece of furniture and art. I have always been a very hands-on person, intrigued by how things are made and the people who make them. I describe myself as having a white-collar business mind with blue-collar hands…and a pink tool belt. The opportunities that I have had in the business world have allowed me to gain the experience necessary to start my dream. I wouldn’t be here today without those lucky doors opening. |
